JOINT TIE FOR FIRST PLACE AT 2008 NEW VENTURE CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2008 New Venture Championship (NVC) was held on April 12th, 2008 at the historic Multnomah hotel in Portland, Oregon.  Teams from 4 continents around the world were selected to come and compete for nearly $100,000 in total prize money.

Over 60 teams submitted intents to compete; 20 teams were selected to compete in Portland, and for the first time ever, two teams were selected as champions of the New Venture Championship.  In a joint-tie for first place, Klymit of Brigham Young University and TakeShape of the University of Oregon split the prize earnings, with each receiving $30,000. Congratulations to both Klymit and TakeShape and thanks to all the teams and volunteers who made the 17th annual New Venture Championship such a success.
